Review and revision of actions and outcomes
Monitoring of the vegetation, threatened species and landscape condition is undertaken to determine longterm effects of management. Record sheets as well as a photographic record are maintained. These records enable periodic review of the results and help clarify what management practices need revision so that ‘best practice management’ is undertaken.
An intensive review of the condition of the reserve was undertaken in 2003. As a result new monitoring sites have been established and the areas of native vegetation have been better mapped. A new implementation plan has been developed that reflects the changes that have occurred and issues identified by the review.
Because the site is a part of Canberra Nature Reserve it can be visited by the public. However, as cattle graze the area it is advisable to notify ACT Parks and Conservation Service on tel. 02 6207 2113 before entering the site. Dogs are not allowed in the reserve.
